Our Practice Today

10 years since our opening, our studio has been and continues to be a place where we explore the world of architecture and its relationship with other fields such as art, photography and engineering.

In recent years, we have become more diverse through cooperation with another company: Afterhourstudio Investments

Although, each entity is independent, both share the same vision.

Diversifying has enabled us to gain experience in building construction, the property industry and creative sponsorship, which can now be applied to the creation of a more distinctive, efficient and sustainable architecture and design.

Alchemy about bricks

Alchemy about bricks

Brick is a wonderful material that through fire is transmuted into a hard and eternal object of great beauty and elevated character.

The mix of clay, the inclusion of other materials and the method used to fire result in a wide range of colours and textures. A very versatile material that has been the centre of many myths and mysteries over the last 6000 years.

We want to believe that in many parts of the world the making of bricks is still considered a living art. Whether brick is being in use to build religious buildings or humble houses, it has always provide a aesthetic, economic, environmental and structural qualities.

This is an early exercise for a new residential development in Ealing, where we are exploring how such a hard building material could visually fade away -either by geometric composition or colour code-within the fragile nature of various local plants and flowers, the latter shaping indoor and outdoor spaces spread all over the development.
